Beijing is considering lifting restrictions on domestic enterprises investing abroad.
New regulations, including simplified application and approval procedures and rules on the management of overseas-based Chinese firms, will be introduced soon by the municipal government.
More than 290 Beijing-based firms now have overseas investments, with a combined investment value of US$290 billion. A majority of these firms are involved in trade.
Beijing plans to send personnel overseas in the next few years to have professional training on cross-country management.
