China's online advertising market is expected to hit 4.387 billion yuan (US$548 million) in 2006, according to Analysys, an information source on the hi-tech and Internet industries.
Analysys said the value of China's on-line advertising reached 2 billion yuan in the first six-months of this year.
It said the portals, sina.com, sohu.com, and China's biggest search engine baidu.com, took the lead in online advertising in the country, without providing details on the revenues they may have earned.
