China has launched an intellectual property rights (IPR) protection website, a source with the Ministry of Commerce said on Saturday.
The website, www.ipr.gov.cn, was jointly sponsored by a national working group on IPR protection under the State Council and the Ministry, said the source.
The website, launched on Wednesday, aims at introducing to domestic and overseas readers China's laws, rules, policies and measures concerning IPR protection and enhancing public's awareness in this regard.
Director of the State Intellectual Property Office Tian Lipu, Deputy Director of the General Administration for Industry and Commerce Li Dongsheng and US Coordinator for International Intellectual Property Chris Israel attended the opening ceremony.
