China's top legislature, the National People's Congress (NPC), is due to close its annual full session on Friday morning.
More than 2,800 NPC deputies are expected to attend the closing meeting of the Fifth Session of the Tenth NPC, voting on the government work report, economic and social development, central and local budgets, work of the NPC Standing Committee, and reports of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
The lawmakers will also vote on the drafts of property law and enterprise income tax law.
Premier Wen Jiabao will hold a press conference right after the conclusion of the NPC session.
The 2,890-strong NPC convenes annual sessions normally in March. The NPC Standing Committee serves as the executive body when the top legislature is not in session.
