Jia Qinglin, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) arrived in Jakarta on Sunday by a special plane after a visit to Bali island of Indonesia.
Chairman of Indonesia's People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Hidayat Nur Wahid and other high ranking officials greeted Jia Qinglin and the Chinese delegation at the Halim Military Airport.
Jia, who was invited by Hidayat for a four-day visit to Indonesia, will have talks with Hidayat, and meet with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Vice President Yusuf Kalla and other MPR officials. They will exchange views on bilateral relations and other issues of common concern.
Jia will also attend activities conducted by local social societies and make a important speech during the visit.
