"'One World One Dream' Selected as Olympic Theme Slogan" was named the No.1 news story on the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games for 2005.
The story was selected from a shortlist of about 20 entries, and voted on by the online community.
The selection results were announced at a ceremony held in Beijing today.

The campaign, run by the Media and Communications Department of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOC), lasted for 20 days from December 26, 2005 until January 15, 2006.
More than 240,000 votes were collected, including over 237,000 from all of China's provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government and special administrative regions.
Over 5,000 votes were compiled from participants in Switzerland, Russia, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, the United States, Canada, Ghana, France, Britain, Japan, Greece, and Thailand.
