Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing in Beijing on Wednesday that it is still possible to solve Iran's nuclear issue within the framework of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
"The days before the March 6 meeting of the IAEA are crucial," Li said at a press conference.
Also present at the press conference was visiting German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Li appealed to the international community to be calm, restrained and patient and show flexibility in creating necessary conditions for the resumption of nuclear negotiations between Europe and Iran.
China is opposed to the proliferation of nuclear weapons and advocates safeguarding the international non-proliferation system, Li said, adding that China hopes to help solve the Iran nuclear issue through diplomatic means.
