On the heels of the CPPCC meeting, the annual session of China's National People's Congress will begin on Saturday. With preparations coming to an end, journalists from around the world are getting ready for a busy few days.

This year, there's a dramatic increase in the number of western media covering the NPC and CPPCC sessions. To many, it's an exciting opportunity to learn more about Chinese politics.

Brazilian Reporter said, "It's a great opportunity for Brazilians to know more about China, about the Chinese political system and operation..."

This reporter is from Belgium. He's been covering the NPC sessions for the past eight years. Ahead of the meeting, he's concentrating on collecting information from all kinds of sources.

Belgian Reporter said, "Our newspaper are major in financial news. We are mainly interested in the economic aspect of China."

Registration for overseas reporters is still open. 12-hundred reporters from China and other countries have already signed up, which means they have access to the two sessions.
