Three Chinese students protested at the residence of US ambassador’s residence in Beijing on Wednesday, protesting the fatal collision of a US Navy surveillance plane with a Chinese fighter plane on April 1.
In Beijing, witnesses saw policemen turn away three protesters carrying China’s flag near the US ambassador Joseph Prueher’s residence in the first known anti-US demonstration of the crisis in the city.
Two men and a woman, described by witnesses as students, were stopped by at least seven Chinese policemen on the road near the residence. Later they left peacefully.
