Ancient
Frescos Found in Inner Mongolia
|
Archaeologists
have recently found precious frescos after unearthing two ancient
tombs in Ih Ju league, southwestern part of north China's Inner
Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The frescos, completed during the Han Dynasty
(BC 206-AC 220), are located at Uxin banner of Ih Ju league. The
tomb owners were supposed to be junior officials at that time.
Even though the tombs have been robbed,
there still remain exquisite frescos with high artistic drawings
on the walls.
Experts have found the mural pictures to
be vivid portraits of horses, cattle, sheep and dancers, which
are quite rare and helpful for related research.
