China's leading think tank hosted scholars of Mongolian history
from around the world Sunday to discuss Genghis Khan and his empire
that was founded 800 years ago.
More than 50 recognized historians and social scientists
presented their latest finds on the transcontinental empire and
Genghis Khan at the International Symposium for Genghis Khan and
the Founding of the Mongolian Empire organized by the Chinese
Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).

and his empire were conducive to scientific research on the
important historical period.
They welcomed exchanges of different views with their Mongolian,
Russian and Japanese counterparts.
