Five people were killed by an explosion at a cooking oil factory in southeast China's Fujian Province on Tuesday, local sources said.

The explosion took place at 10:30 AM at a workshop of the Fujian Jinshi Cooking Oil Company in Zhangzhou city, Fujian.

Rescuers put out the fire at 3 AM and police are investigating into the cause of the accident.
