The People's Liberation Army (PLA) Garrison stationed in Macao
opened its barracks on the Taipa Island Thursday for the
International Children's Day.
Some 700 students from around 20 local middle schools and
primary schools attended the national-flag hoist ceremony together
with the PLA soldiers.
The soldiers then performed military parade, martial arts and
drills, demonstrating their outstanding discipline and
training.
The students also visited the mini-military historic museum, the
equipment rooms and soldiers' dorms.
The garrison opened the barracks for the first time on October
3, 2004.
