Seven people have died in landslides triggered by five
continuous days of torrential rain in eastern China's Zhejiang Province, local officials said
Friday.
Thirty-two monitoring stations across the province reported
rainfalls of more than 100 mm in just two days, according to the
provincial flood control and drought relief headquarters.
The Zhejiang meteorological station has forecast more heavy rain
on Friday and Saturday, and the provincial flood-control authority
has warned people and local governments to be aware of
weather-related risks.
