Five Killed in Chemical Lab Explosion in E. China

Five people were killed and two others injured in a chemical laboratory blast on Friday in east China's Zhejiang Province.

 

The accident occurred during the early hours of the morning in a lab of Jusheng Fluorine Chemical Corp. Ltd.

 

One of the two injured, who were taken to hospital, is in a critical condition.

 

Jusheng, which mainly produces fluorine refrigerant, is a subsidiary company of Juhua, the largest chemical enterprise in Zhejiang.

 

The cause of the blast is being investigated.
