Three traffic accidents took place from Tuesday evening to early
Wednesday on the Hefei-Jiezidun expressway, east China's
Anhui Province, killing seven and injuring four others.
The local police source said a heavy-duty truck turned over on
the ice-covered expressway at about 11:00 PM Tuesday.
The truck then collided with a car and left two people killed on
the spot and two others seriously injured and died later on the way
to hospital.
When the police were dealing with the accident, a minibus from
Wuhai to Zhenjiang collided with the car at around 2:00 AM
Wednesday but only the driver of the bus was injured.
Another pileup occurred at 5:00 AM, killing three on the spot
and injuring some others.
As of 11:00 AM, Wednesday the traffic resumed to normal and all
the injured have been hospitalized, the local government source
said.
