My daughter Michaëlle fell ill at the end of October. She's 20. She had to be admitted to hospital for a cyst and appendicitis operation. We took this photo in her hospital room when she was better and ready to come home.

I was her carer for 10 days. I stayed by her bedside day and night. I took my ARVs with me. I always have them with me, in my little bag.

I'm HIV-positive, but now I am the carer, as you see. I take care of this big family. That's my positive life. [© Denise/MSF]
