How does Japan quake impact on China's economy

Japan's massive earthquake and ensuing tsunami have sent shockwaves through the world. Though it is not yet possible to estimate the accurate total loss, one thing for sure is that Japan quake will have a major impact on its neghboring countries, especially China who is one of its largest trade parters. 

 

Trade                      

 •  Impact on Japan's neighbors hardest

Economic aftershocks of the devastation in Japan are rolling through Asia. It is among Japan's neighbors that the reverberations of the catastrophe are being felt hardest.

 •   Made-in-Japan label loses luster in China

Supermarkets and Japanese restaurants in China have been distancing themselves from products imported from Japan since the country announced that radiation levels found in spinach and milk produced near the nuclear plant exceeded safe levels.

 •  Japan quake sends shockwave through Chinese economy

Japan's massive earthquake and tsunami have sent shockwaves through China's economy, though it is not yet possible to estimate the total loss, analysts said Tuesday.

"Japanese companies are likely to outsource their non-core business to China as part of the rebuilding work after the earthquake, so in the long term, the (business) impact of the disaster may not be that big,"

IT:  Electronics market faces shortages

China's electronics market has been severely affected by the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on Friday.
