A new directory on the packing of North-America bound export
products is expected to come into force in China soon, said the Chinese Ministry of
Commerce on Thursday.
The ministry said the new directory has just been approved by a
group of experts and will be publicized shortly.
The ministry hopes that the new directory will help Chinese
companies know more about the requirements of packaging for the
North American area, so as to improve the standards for exported
Chinese products.
The new directory gives a specific introduction to the export
products packaging-related rules and technical requirements adopted
in the United States, Canada and Mexico, and also lists detailed
packing technologies and methods for all major exported Chinese
products to the North American area, said the ministry.
To improve China's packing standards for exported products, the
ministry issued a total of 30 packing directories last year gearing
to China's different trading partners.
