Wuhan Gets ADB Loans for Sewage Disposal Projects
Adjust font size:
Wuhan, Hubei Province, has got a loan of US$83 million from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for its three sewage disposal centers, a sewage pipeline of more than 100 kilometers and a number of pumping stations.

The city's sewage disposal company will raise the rest of the fund needed for the construction of these projects by levying sewage disposal taxes.

The city discharges 2.05 million tons of sewage and industrial wastewater every day. It plans to raise the sewage disposal rate to 70 percent by 2010.
